Over the last six months, severe drought has hit five provinces in Southwest China and now drought has already spread from Yunnan, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan and Guizhou provinces to Hunan, Guangdong, Gansu, Hebei, Shanxi, Ningxia and Tibet areas. On April 14 a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit Yushu in Qinghai Province, making the matters worse. Disasters in China always tug at the heartstrings of overseas Chinese. However, the Chinese Communist regime has always been concealing the quake-stricken situation. The drought in Southwest China occurred long time ago, but the news didn’t get out till all the farm land had turned into dry spider web like shapes, local people hadn’t had drinking water and cattle had died of thirst.
Natural disasters are always accompanied by human-made disasters. In particular, in China, human-made disasters always precede natural disasters. 2008 Sichuan Earthquake was caused by human-made disasters, due to that the huge Zipingpu Reservoir (only second to the Three Gorge Reservoir) of Baisha Township, Dujiangyan City had been built right over the geological fault, resulting in this huge earthquake. The current drought of the five southwestern provinces are also caused by human-made disasters: in order to make money, the CCP regime has spared no effort by providing one-stop approach service to attract foreign merchants to plant Eucalyptus trees for papermaking on rented land and by facilitating the building of paper mills that severely pollute water on Chinese soil. The original ecological forest of Yunnan was depleted and replaced by the fast growing Eucalyptus trees, turning the whole province into the plantations of Eucalyptus, nick-named water pump, and Hevea wood. This destructive model of those traitors for ‘Economic growth’ has completely destroyed the ecological environment of the Chinese people.
Whenever a disaster strikes, CCP will play the same old tricks. The first trick it plays is to block news and mislead people. When faced with this big drought that hits five provinces, CCP behaves in the same manner. The do-nothing CCP is best at propaganda. This time, it keeps disseminating propaganda that government has distributed 140 million Chinese yuan as relief fund to the people affected by the drought. How can we forget the lesson that during the Sichuan Earthquake governments of different levels embezzled the relief funds? It has been exposed now concerning the whereabouts of the donation money for the earthquake two years ago that over 85% of the donation has gone into the wallets of local officials. Besides, CCP has spent over 400 billion yuan for the preparation of Shanghai World Expo. By comparison, it has only spent such little money, like a drop in the bucket on such extended areas affected by the severe drought, considering the number of people affected, 140 million yuan wouldn't even be enough to buy water for each of them, plus strings of corrupted governments at all levels coveting the relief funds who can’t wait to grab the money for their own use.
We shall not forget the lessons in recent past and the horrible tragedy that happened 50 years ago in China when over 40 million people starved to death in famine. Fleeing from famine is the natural and the only way out for people since past. But 50 years ago, CCP regime used military forces holding machine guns to block the victims escape roads, in order to save their face and “stabilize its regime”, resulting in over 40 million people starved to death in their hometowns. Today’s drought of the five provinces is even more critical than the famine in the past and fleeing from famine has become the only choice for people as their life is at risk. In order not to die from famine or thirst, people in drought affected areas please don’t believe CCP’s propaganda and don’t wait for the never-coming help. Just think about how can these predatory and extortive CCP official criminals get stung by conscience at the calamity to rescue and help people? People need to flee with their families towards cities that have water so they can survive.
CIG requests that military forces should not block people’s escape routes like 50 years ago. Please put yourselves into the shoes of these people who labor like cattle to make a living and who have sustained the military forces with their sweat and blood. At the time of life and death, please let them flee with their families for dear life.
