Province-level Shandong Local Interim Government calls independent labor unions, rights defending organizations and democratic groups to convene a meeting in Beijing over the arrangement of next-step work. There are 78 attendants in all. In addition, some persons concerned from Beijing are invited to attend. The representatives of discharged military personnel make speeches on the theme of the conference. The biggest private enterprise of Shandong Province acts as the sponsor.
Almost at the same time, early in this month, Province-level Hunan Local Interim Government declared its establishment; two weeks ago the first-term vice president of CIG bravely entered mainland China, both indicating a new stage of CIG’s existence in mainland. To date local interim governments have been set up in almost every major province and city and they are having their substantive performance to different extents.
China Interim Government was founded January 1st, 2008 and has so far been practicing for nearly two years, during which the Interim Government observes its political objective “Disintegrate CCP, Justice Shall Prevail” and gains more and more support from the people. Since mid 2008 CIG has been holding 77 news conferences without stop, regularly at weekend, keeping an extensive connection with the people of the homeland and giving those safeguarding their rights guidance in principle.
